Level IV Umpires Certification Clinic – Alberta – Spring 2014
Alberta Softball Umpires Association is actively seeking enough participants to host a Level IV National Umpires Certification Clinic in the Spring of 2014. We require at least 15 participants for this clinic to happen. We would like the clinic to be held on a weekend prior to the start of the 2014 ball season. This two-day course is essential for any Umpire aspiring to attend a Softball Canada Championship tournament. An action packed course, the Level IV clinic covers many topics including the Spirit of Umpiring, Psychology of Officiating, Advanced Game Management Techniques, Mechanics, Mental Preparation and Preventative Officiating. The clinic will be led by experienced Softball Canada instructors.
To be eligible to participate, candidates must be a fully certified Level III umpire for at least two years and receive a positive endorsement from their provincial or territorial organization. Successful completion of the Level IV clinic results in Level IV Theory certification. A subsequent successful evaluation at a U18 (M or F) or U21 (F) Fast Pitch or Senior Women’s Slo-Pitch Canadian Championship will lead to full Level IV certification.
Clinic Details:
- Registration fee is $175 and includes a Level IV manual
